I use a little Yamaha scooter to zip around town and beat the rush hour traffic. It served me faithfully for several years now but this morning it decided to act up and leave me swearing on the side of the road. I don’t really know what the problem is yet. I was driving along when suddenly the engine started coughing, it was like the engine was spitting its guts. After about 20 seconds of this, the engine completely shut down, forcing me to a stop on the side of the road. Unfortunately I am mechanically challenged so I had and still have no idea what went on. Anyway, I wasn’t too happy about the situation, was going to be late and had no idea what to do. After staring blankly at my scooter for a couple of minutes I decided it was time to do something about it so I took my cell phone and phone my garage guy (people, always have your favorite mechanic telephone number in your cell). About 20 minutes later he came to the rescue, put the scooter into the back of the small truck and drove off to work on it while I caught a bus to the campus, late of course.
